Contact us with questions or suggestions - We're always looking for new ways to promote service within the HKS community.

The Student Public Service Collaborative (SPSC) is a student-led office dedicated to promoting the ideals of public service throughout and beyond the Harvard Kennedy School community. We aim to encourage students to elevate the discourse on public service, to engage actively with our local communities, and to emerge as thought-leaders and actors in the various and diverse fields of public service.

Are you in town on MLK DAY? If so, join other Harvard and MIT grad students in volunteering as mentors for Cambridge high school students on Cambridge’s MLK Day of Service. Volunteers will work in morning, afternoon, or evening shifts with a small group of teens to help coordinate and organize volunteer stations. Volunteer stations include blanket and scarf making for homeless and those in need and Valentine's Day cards for homebound seniors and Veterans. The event takes places at/around the Cambridge City Hall in Central Square on Monday, January 20th. Sign up here: http://bit.ly/mlkday2020hks

SafeWalk 11/22/2016

[Introducing SafeWalk!] There has recently been an increase in harassment and violence on the basis of religion, race, ethnicity, immigration status, sexual orientation, etc., around the country and within the Harvard community. We've started SafeWalk for anyone who feels unsafe or fears harassment in public places:

- We connect you to a group of people who live near you so that you can coordinate walking home together on a regular basis .
- Sometimes, no one will be available at the time you want to walk home. In that case, we arrange for volunteers to be on-call so you can contact them to walk with you.
