Happy Sunday Reads! This week, we're reading: "Shaping a Winning Team: A Leader's Guide to Hiring, Assessing, and Developing the People You Need to Succeed."
Authors Paul Fayad and Dr. Chak Fu Lam share, "Within an organization, rowers are individuals who are empathetic and compassionate. They not only get things done, but also do so in ways that are motivating and inspirational to others. They care deeply about relationships and can step into the perspective of others to know what they want and how they feel. They have high emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and the capacity to be aware of others' feelings... They are also agreeable, which is directly linked to their ability to have and express compassion and empathy. They can put others' needs before their own and often do. Their goal is for the organization or the project to succeed, and they will do what is necessary to make that happen."
