💙 What a successful Open House!

A huge THANK YOU to all of our families for joining us and helping make Open House such a success! It was so great to see so many smiling faces, connect with families, and kick off another exciting school year together.

And of course, we had to end the night with some fun! Our Staff vs. Student Kickball Game brought plenty of laughs, energy, and a little friendly competition! We’re pretty sure everyone walked away a winner! 😄

Thank you for being such an important part of our school family. We are looking forward to an amazing year!

And the TEAM is back! 🏆

Summer may still be in full swing for our Hummingbirds, but our amazing CES staff is officially back in the building! Over the past two days, our teachers have been busy learning, growing, collaborating, and having some fun along the way.

We’re getting ready for another incredible year, and we can’t wait to see our Hummingbird families at Open House this Thursday from 3–5 PM!

📚🎒 Back-to-School Readiness Event 🎒📚

Eastern Shore Wellness Solutions, Inc., in partnership with Dorchester County Public Schools, is excited to host our Back-to-School Readiness Event on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School.

We invite all students and families to join us for a day dedicated to preparing for a successful school year! Families will have access to free school supplies, haircuts and hairstyles, shoes, clothing, community resources, and a variety of local organizations offering services and supports to help students start the year confident and ready to learn.

FREE BUS TRANSPORTATION is available. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Buses will leave promptly at the times listed below. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

📚✏️ CES Families – It's School Supply Time!

It's that time of year again! Please review the school supply lists below to help your hummingbird get ready for the upcoming school year.

Reminder: All students are required to have a clear backpack and clear water bottle. To help families prepare, Choptank Elementary School will provide one clear backpack and one clear water bottle to every student at the beginning of the school year. Families will be responsible for purchasing any replacement backpacks or water bottles after the initial distribution.
