Harvard College Office of Student Engagement

For today’s Meet us Monday, I present to you our Undergraduate student workers! All three of these workers are currently enrolled and working remotely to provide social events to the College through Crimson After Dark. In addition to this, they all work to manage the Student Engagement Instagram, Facebook, email box and inquires for the Crimson After Dark program.

First up is Sharelle. She is a junior in Adams house, concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Psychology. Sharelle is from Ottawa, Canada and is a member of the Harvard and Canadian Track and Field teams.

Next we have Tré! He is also a junior in Adams house, concentrating in Economics with a secondary in Government. A native from Bridgetown, Barbados Tré has been able to master the art of napping for 10mins, since starting college (he can fall asleep in just under 30 seconds)!

Finally we have Divya! She is a first-year currently living on campus in Mower Hall. Divya’s anticipated concentration is Computer Science and she is from Florida She has met Vanilla Ice twice and he rapped for her!

For this Meet us Monday I present to you our Admin team!

First up is Olivera, the current Assistant Director of Student Engagements at Harvard College, involved in many aspects of student engagement activities. Olivera is responsible for the overall strategic management, allocation, assessment of student life fees allocated to Harvard College students and organizations. She advises the Associate Dean on budgetary matters, high-level spending, and budgeting. She is responsible for financial processing, reconciliation, reporting, and strategic planning on unrestricted and restricted accounts. Olivera has walked on fire (literally) and biked over the Golden Gate bridge

Next up is Kate! She oversee the Student Engagement team and their work to promote a vibrant and inclusive social scene on campus. That includes supervision of several team members, as well as steering our "big picture" when it comes to vision and assessment of how we are doing. Kate has been to all 50 states and am now trying to hit all the National Parks. Her dog, Phoebe, and her love to get outside and explore MA's green spaces. And, she love chocolate.  

Finally we have Lesley! She provides administrative support to the Student Engagement and Leadership team, assist in the event registration process. She auditioned to play a “hater” in a music video and got the role!

Welcome to “Meet us Mondays” This week, we present to you our Orientation/Family Weekend team!

First up is we have Liliana “Lily” Castro! Lilly supports students transition to the College through our Pre-Orientation and Orientation programs. In addition, she’s the point person for parents and families of undergraduate students and coordinate our large-scale family programs such as First-Year Family Orientation and Family Weekends. She loves to binge watch reality television and stay up to date on the latest celebrity gossip.

Next up is Brittany (Britt) Mitzner! She is the Coordinator for Student and Family Engagement. Brittany handles the Orientation Coordination, Family Weekend Coordination, Wintersession, Class-level Programming Initiatives, Student Engagement Communications, Family Engagement Communications. Brittany can play the guitar and sing, and her biggest fan is her cat, Rico. Dw, she loves dogs too!

Finally, we have Grad Assistant Donald Sarra! He helps the Student Engagement team plan fun and interactive events that help students and their families navigate their transition and time at Harvard! He was born on an island, but doesn’t know how to swim.
