Ally Trew, Director of Gifted & Special Services at the Ohio Valley Educational Service Center, recently visited Federal Hocking Local Schools to provide an Introduction to Serving Gifted Students. As part of the training, teachers participated in an engaging activity where they categorized character cards based on different gifted profiles, helping them better understand and recognize the unique characteristics and needs of gifted learners.

Ohio Valley Educational Service Center Governing Board – Thursday, August 27, 2026, 6:00 p.m. at Lori’s Restaurant in Caldwell, Ohio.

In accordance with H.B. 197, R.C. 121.22, and applicable laws; the Treasurer of the Ohio Valley Educational Service Center Governing Board (“Governing Board”) hereby serves a written notice that a regular meeting of the Board is called for Thursday, August 27, 2026, 6:00 p.m., at Lori’s Restaurant located at 17020 McConnelsville Rd, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. The Governing Board may recess into executive sessions pursuant to R.C. 121.22. The Governing Board will also take formal action in open session.

The Ohio Valley ESC continues to highlight the individuals who serve our member districts and communities.
Grace Campos serves as the Director of Data Analysis and Special Assignments. Outside of work, Grace enjoys reading, playing video and board games, and Dungeons & Dragons.
A little-known fact about Grace - she takes her time when making purchases and believes in keeping things simple. When she buys a new piece of clothing, she makes sure to get rid of something else first. Grace definitely believes in the philosophy of “less is more!”

for school buses! Stay alert and know when to stop: On a two or three lane road - drivers on BOTH SIDES of the road must stop when a bus is dropping off or picking up students. On roads with four or more lanes – drivers traveling the opposite direction of the bus DO NOT have to stop.
