🙏Faculty Eternal - Dr. Glenn Rock🙏
Glenn W. Rock, age 85, of Limestone Township, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, August 6, 2026, at Clarion Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on August 16, 1940, in Mount Washington, where he was raised and graduated from Mount Lebanon High School. Glenn was one of two children of the late Glenn L. and Lillian M. Kreutz Rock.
Following high school, Glenn enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served until receiving an honorable discharge. After completing his military service, he returned home to continue his education. Glenn earned a master's degree in mathematics and statistics from the University of Pittsburgh before earning a doctorate in statistics from Kansas State University.
He then became a mathematics professor at Alliance College, Cambridge Springs, Pa., and later at Salisbury State before joining Clarion University, where he taught for many years until his retirement in 2003.
Glenn married the love of his life, Judy E. Fleming, in 1969, and together they shared many wonderful years of marriage.
He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time outdoors, gardening, tinkering with anything mechanical, and watching birds.
Glenn leaves behind his beloved wife, Judy; his son, Devin Rock of Clarion; and two cherished grandchildren, Colin A. Rock and Claire L. Rock.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Fonger.
