🐍🦎🐊 RBSJ REPTILE REALM IS HEADING TO THE NEWS! 🐊🦎🐍

Just a quick heads-up to everyone — I will NOT be at the RBSJ Reptile Realm shop tomorrow morning because I’ll be up in Erie appearing LIVE on Hello Erie for their “Zookeeper’s Secrets” segment! 📺

I’ll be bringing some of my reptile ambassadors along with me for an entire hour of reptiles, education, and hopefully a whole lot of fun!

Some of the animals I’m planning on bringing include:

🐊 American Alligator
🦎 Albino Tegu
🐍 Dumeril’s Ground Boa
🐍 Red-Tail Boa
🐍 Super-Dwarf/Dwarf Reticulated Python
🐍 Ball Pythons
🦎 And possibly a few other surprises!

We’ll be talking about these amazing animals, their behavior, responsible reptile keeping, husbandry, and what it's really like working with everything from small reptiles to an American alligator.

📺 Hello Erie
🕘 9:00–10:00 AM

So if you’re around tomorrow morning, tune in and watch! You never know what might show up at the Hello Erie table. 😂🐍🐊

I’ll be back afterward and will keep everyone updated on when I’ll be at the shop.

Thank you all for continuing to support RBSJ Reptile Realm and our mission of bringing reptiles, education, and hands-on learning to the community! ❤️🦎

WHO’S COMING?! 👇🔥

There are rear fang Venomous garter snakes have rear fangs but the venom is not a danger to humans yes there harmless but saying garter snakes are not Venomous is misleading

They're not venomous—they're harmless. The worst they'll do is musk on you, which smells terrible but won't hurt. A bite is basically a scratch.

Want them in your yard? Give them what they need. A flat rock or board in a sunny spot for basking works. A brush pile or rock pile for cover. And skip the yard spraying. Snakes can't hunt until they warm up, so basking spots matter.

Spend ten minutes learning which snakes are actually dangerous where you live. Most states have only two or three to worry about. Once you know them, the question's settled. Everything else is working for you, eating the rodents that carry ticks and chew holes in your walls.

I want to apologize for not being at the store today. My car had a problem with the steering and unfortunately it’s not driveable right now. 😞

I’m working on getting it taken care of as quickly as I can. I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding, and I’m sorry to anyone who stopped by today and missed me.

I’ll keep everyone updated as soon as I know more. ❤️🦎

🦎 Long Weekend + Expo Prep Update! 🐍

With the long weekend and the Meadville Reptile Expo coming up this Sunday, I may not be at the store as much this week while I get everything ready for the show.

That being said, I’ll still do my best to have someone at the store for at least part of the day throughout the week for anyone looking to stop in. If you’re planning on coming by, feel free to reach out ahead of time so I can make sure someone is there to help you.

Thanks for your patience and understanding! We’re excited to see everyone at the Meadville Reptile Expo this Sunday! 🐍🦎
