Tree Hill Vancouver was honored to host the Clark County stop of our statewide Childcare Town Halls for the Washington State Childcare Center Association (WCCA).
We brought together a powerful room of decision-makers and advocates, including legislative candidates, current state senator and representatives, leadership from the Washington State Department of Commerce, the Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, and—most importantly—our dedicated local childcare providers 🫶🏻
The conversation was raw, intense at times, but incredibly informative. We gave our lawmakers a lot to think about as they prepare for the 2027 legislative session.
We are fully aware of the state's budget constraints and recognize that there isn't money for major monetary requests next year and possibly years to come. However, we made it clear that there is a wealth of "low-hanging fruit" that won't cost the state a dime but will make a world of difference for our industry. Moving forward, we are pushing for:
Staff Privacy Protections: Ensuring our frontline educators are protected.
Regulatory Relief: Slashing overburdening, redundant regulations that drain time and resources.
RCW Modernization: Making common-sense changes to critical Revised Codes of Washington.
I am incredibly proud to be a part of the WCCA leadership team, fighting every single day for childcare access, family affordability, higher wages for our workforce, and the professional respect our staff truly deserves.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and listened. The work continues or should I say…. This work never ends 🧡💚

The OakLeaves Class 🌳
The Oak Leaves classroom is designed for children ages 18 to 30 months and is the perfect place for busy toddlers who are eager to explore, learn, and grow! With thoughtfully designed learning centers and a consistent yet flexible daily schedule, children are encouraged to develop independence while building confidence in a nurturing environment.
At this stage, toddlers are making exciting developmental leaps. In Oak Leaves, we focus on helping children strengthen self-help skills such as washing hands, putting on shoes, cleaning up after themselves, and communicating their needs. Through circle time, small group activities, story time, and hands-on learning experiences, children are also introduced to early literacy concepts and opportunities for language development.
Our Oak Leaves friends especially love sensory play, building with blocks, creating art projects, reading books, and exploring the world around them through play. These activities encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving while making learning fun and engaging each day.
One of our biggest focuses in Oak Leaves is social-emotional development. As children begin developing a stronger sense of self, they practice important skills such as sharing, taking turns, playing alongside friends, and asking adults for help when needed. Our teachers provide guidance and encouragement as children learn to navigate friendships, express emotions, and build confidence in themselves and their abilities. 🍃
In Oak Leaves, every day is filled with opportunities to learn, discover, and grow. We love watching our toddlers gain independence, form meaningful connections, and develop a lifelong love of learning! 💚🌳

A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing families who stopped by our lemonade stand! Together, we raised $1,300 for ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy) research and support. 🎉
This fundraiser was especially meaningful as one of our Evergreen families has been impacted by an ALD diagnosis. Our children had the opportunity to learn about kindness, generosity, and the importance of giving back to others in need.
We are so grateful for every donation and cup of lemonade purchased. Your support will make a difference for families affected by ALD and help advance the search for a cure.
A special thank you to Ms. Kathy and Mr. David for helping make this event possible, and to all of our little lemonade stand helpers who worked so hard! 🍋🌳
$1,300 raised. Countless smiles shared. One amazing TREE HILL FAM. 🌳
