💙 Why should you come to our first PTO meeting?

Because Skyridge is our community—and PTO works best when we have lots of different families, ideas, and voices at the table.

You don’t have to join a committee. You don’t have to volunteer for everything. And you definitely don’t have to know anything about PTO before you come!

Our first meeting is simply a chance to connect, hear what’s happening this year, share your ideas, and help shape how PTO supports our students, staff, and families.

Maybe you have an idea you’d love to see happen. Maybe you want to meet other Sky families. Maybe you’re just curious about what PTO actually does.

Whatever brings you—we’d love to see you there.

Come as you are. Listen, share, or just get to know us. Everyone in our Sky community is welcome. 💙

Skyridge families are invited to participate in an important research study focused on student organization, time management, and planning skills. Researchers at Seattle Children’s are developing a new questionnaire to better understand students’ academic strategies — and they are looking for students in 6th–12th grade to help.

What’s involved?
- Your child completes a short 10–15 minute questionnaire about their academic strategies.
- One of your child’s teachers must also complete the same questionnaire.
- A parent will complete a brief survey as well.

💙 Compensation ❤️
All individuals who complete the questionnaire — student, parent, and teacher — receive $35 each for their time.

This is a simple way to contribute to meaningful educational research while also earning compensation for your family and your child’s teacher. Your participation helps researchers better understand how to support students’ executive functioning skills in real-world school settings.

If you’re interested, please complete the Parent Interest Form using the link or QR code provided in the flyer.

Thank you for helping advance research that supports student success!

If you haven’t had a chance to support our incredible Skyridge Middle School teachers yet this school year, here’s a wonderful (and easy!) opportunity to show your appreciation. 💙

We have two upcoming staff appreciation events, and your help makes a big difference:

🥣 Snoops & Sniffles – February 11
Sign up to bring:
• A homemade crockpot of soup
• A snack
• Boxes of Kleenex 🤧

🥧 Pi Day – March 13
Help us celebrate 3.14 Day by signing up to bring a STORE-BOUGHT pie (sweet or savory welcome!)

Whether you’re able to contribute one item or both events, your support helps us care for the staff who do so much for our students every day. Thank you for being such an amazing community! 💙
