🎨 Summer Art Labs are here at Opus Camas!

Starting in July, our 6 week summer session will be spent doing a ton of art outdoors. Students will explore mediums like cyanotype prints, watercolor salt technique, stained glass and mosaic, and more. Classes will also dive into art history where students will study the masters and learn how it has shaped the art they see today.

Let your kids run (creatively) wild this summer and join the Summer Art Labs today! Classes available for ages 3-18!

Check out what’s been growing on at the Opus Artistic Spirits Garden! 🪏🌱

We have snacks for people and for pollinators in our garden — on the left the bees and butterflies enjoy Himalayan honeysuckle, lambs ear and lady’s glove. On the right, families can find raspberries, tomatoes, rosemary, mint, and eventually watermelon! 🍉

Take a moment to walk around and find the labels for each plant to learn what the different plants are in all their stages of growth.

Introducing music early on in your child’s life is proven to have a lasting impact on how they learn, communicate, and develop.

Because music engages the mind, body, and emotions all at once, it has many significant benefits. Through music you are:
🎵Strengthening memory, attention, and problem-solving skills
🎵Building coordination and fine/gross motor skills
🎵Strengthening emotional regulation and self-expression
🎵Learning to take turns, share, and collaborate with others

Our Musical Seeds program is the perfect way to grow your child’s artistic spirit starting from age 2 1/2 to 5 years old.

We love using drumming as part of our music curriculum here at Opus. Not only does it serve as a method for developing a steady pulse and rhythm patterns, but also as a tool for focus, coordination, and somatic mindfulness. Most importantly, it’s accessible for every artistic spirit! 😊🪘
