FHS Celebrated its best of the best on our Senior Awards / People’s Choice Awards Night held at OHS yesterday. FHS would like to thank The Most LegendaryPrincipal ever, for hosting FHS in the OHS PAC. We had a wonderful evening celebrating some of the most outstanding Rockets of 2026. It was so memorable to hear all the nice words our FHS Faculty had for these amazing students nominated for People’s Choice Awards. Special congrats to our best scholars who received graduation cords for their academic achievements! We are so proud of each of them!

FHS would like to celebrate our special partnerships and supporters. Mr. Rick Ertel, is one of these amazing individuals that helps make FHS the wonderful place it is. As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) he has been a champion for so many youth of our community. He has also served on our School Site Council and WASC community partner panels in the past. We are grateful to him and others like him who invest in our school community and the students it serves. We love and thank you Mr. Ertel!

Frontier High School is proud to celebrate the success of our graduates and their inspiring stories. Angela Perez is a 2015 graduate and the owner of where she creates beautiful floral arrangements. She specializes in making amazing wedding florals. We are so proud of you Angela!

In celebration of teacher appreciation week, FHS would like to spotlight the exceptional teachers on our campus. Sal Montelongo is an invaluable member of the FHS family. He has been teaching at FHS for 18 wonderful years. He strives to build connections and relationships with his students to foster their success. Monte is an OUHSD success story as he is a proud CIHS graduate. We love you Coach Monte!

In celebration of teacher appreciation week , FHS would like to spotlight the exceptional teachers on our campus. Mr. Michael Emard has been a dedicated Social Science teacher for 17 years. He works diligently at implementing quality curriculum and meeting the needs of his students. We celebrate you Mr. Emard!

She sees the potential in all her students. Her love and care changes the lives of all those who enter her classroom. FHS would not be the same without her. We appreciate you Ms. Hill!

He is an invaluable member of the FHS team with his positive spirit. He has the gift of providing a warm welcoming environment for all those who enter his classroom. We appreciate you S’gro!

In celebration of teacher appreciation week , FHS would like to spotlight the exceptional teachers on our campus. Mr. Ricardo Sanchez has been a dedicated Social Science teacher for 26 years. He is one our most veteran teachers who arrived at FHS during the legendary Wayne Lamas era. He is a proud graduate of Channel Islands High School and is a home grown OUHSD success story. He gives students a global perspective through his fascinating travel experiences.

In celebration of teacher appreciation week , FHS would like to spotlight the exceptional teachers on our campus. Dr. Rocky Valles is a leader to both students and staff. He has had an amazing 31 year career in education that includes experience as a teacher, AP, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent. His experience is invaluable and enriches the FHS culture everyday. As ASB director, he brings spirit and fun with lunchtime music and posters that brighten up our days.

In celebration of teacher appreciation week , FHS would like to spotlight the exceptional teachers on our campus. Mr. Gerald Synegal came to FHS ready to make big contributions and has done just this in our Physical Education department. He filled the “big shoes” of legendary Coach Frank Gankas and has become a legend himself. He has had an outstanding 24 year career in education which began under the stewardship of the iconic Ms. Daisy Tatum. He challenges and inspires his students daily to live healthier and more active lives. weareouhsd
