✨ Community Connections

Every interaction is an opportunity to build connection.

Recently, our team joined Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County for a training focused on responding to behaviors in youth.

We explored Bruce Perry’s “Three R’s” framework—Regulate, Relate, Reason—and practiced connection and redirection strategies, grounding techniques, and coping skills that caregivers and professionals can use to better support youth in moments of distress.

When adults have shared tools and a shared understanding, young people are more likely to feel safe, supported, and able to grow.

Thank you to Family Service Agency of Santa Barbara County for bringing this group together and for your continued commitment to strengthening support for youth and families!

Graduation day is one of our favorite days of the year—because every diploma represents a hard-earned achievement.

Today, thirteen students from our Non-Public School crossed the graduation stage, the largest graduating class in Casa Pacifica's history.

For many, the road to this moment was not an easy one.

Some arrived at Casa Pacifica feeling depressed or unseen. Others struggled to imagine a future beyond the challenges they faced. With support, and their own resilience, they kept moving forward—step by step, day by day.

Today, they celebrated a milestone that once may have seemed out of reach.

Their success is a testament not only to their perseverance, but also to the power of a community that believes in them.

To our dedicated teachers, aides, therapists, and administrative staff: thank you for helping our students discover their strengths, overcome obstacles and reach this moment. Your commitment changes lives every day.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your story is only beginning, and we cannot wait to see where life takes you next! ❤️

🌈June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community.

Research shows that LGBTQ+ youth are at significantly higher risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviors than their heterosexual peers. This increased risk is not because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, but rather the stigma, discrimination, rejection, and other challenges they may face.

At Casa Pacifica, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all youth feel safe, supported, respected, and valued for who they are.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available:
💜 Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
💜 Contact The Trevor Project by calling 1-866-488-7386 or texting START to 678-678

You are not alone.

Donor support in action! 💙

Construction continues to move forward with our Transitional Youth Services project. We’re excited to share one of the latest additions: newly installed playground equipment for young adults with children!

This new play area will create opportunities for families to spend quality time together, encourage healthy activity and help young parents build meaningful moments with their children right at home.

Additional upgrades are also on the way, including gathering spaces, a sports court, barbecue/patio area, pet relief area and quiet reflection space.

We’re so grateful to The Balay Ko Foundation for the support that made this project possible, and look forward to sharing more progress updates as the space comes to life!
