OLLI at CSU Channel Islands Learning for the joy of learning!

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at CSU Channel Islands provides over 20 diverse courses in each of 3 sessions a year for students aged 50 and above. Students are not burdened with having to prepare for a career (most of us have "been there and done that"!), taking tests and worrying about grades - simply learning for learning's sake! Members discover fascinating academic subjects that embrace history, science, politics, the arts, culture, social science and more!

🎓📸 Back to School, OLLI Style! 📸🎓

What better way to celebrate our incredible instructors and volunteers than with a high school reunion-themed Throwback Back-to-School Party! We had 71 guests join us for an afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and plenty of nostalgia. We were also honored to welcome Interim President Dr. Sue Andrzejewski to the celebration!

The event was a chance to honor and recognize our amazing volunteers and instructors, whose time, passion, and dedication help our program grow and thrive.

Located in a quiet Venice neighborhood, the Mosaic Tile House is a one-of-a-kind celebration of color, creativity, and imagination. OLLI members enjoyed the tour before heading to Point Dume for lunch at Spruzzo.

✈️OLLI members enjoyed an exciting behind-the-scenes tour of Camarillo Airport, exploring the fascinating world of aviation from the ground up. The OLLI Director Daniel Banyai attended and had great conversations with our OLLI members.

Our day included an introduction to airport operations, visits to the Air Unit Hangar, EAA Hangar, and Air 7, where participants learned about aircraft, aviation history, and the dedicated professionals who keep our skies safe.

The adventure wrapped up with great conversation and lunch at the Waypoint Café. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable experience!
