Our staff has officially wrapped up back-to-school week, and the team is ready to welcome our students on Monday, August 24! 📚✏️

The halls are ready, classrooms are prepared, and our staff are excited to get the 2026-2027 school year started!

🚌 A New Camanche Tradition!

We are excited to start a new tradition for our newest team members—a Camanche Community School District bus tour with the Superintendent and members of our Administrative and Teacher Leadership Teams!

Today, we welcomed four new members to the Camanche family:

👏 Christine Shepard – Preschool Teacher
🎵 Taylor Hicks – K-4 Music Teacher
🎨 Sara Theisen – K-6 Art Teacher
💙 Saydee Smith – Elementary School Counselor

The tour is a great opportunity for our new staff to get familiar with our community, district facilities, and the people who make Camanche such a special place to work and learn.

Please join us in welcoming Christine, Taylor, Sara, and Saydee to Camanche CSD!

🚌 Transportation Update for the 2026-2027 School Year!

Transportation routes have officially been established for the upcoming school year! Our transportation team made phone calls today to families with bus information and left messages when we were unable to connect.

Take a look at one of our newest additions—a new propane-powered school bus, ready to hit the road in just a few weeks! 🚍

Thanks to the support of our community through the recently approved Voted Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (VPPEL), Camanche Community School District is able to invest in reliable, efficient, and safe transportation for our students.

Projects and purchases like this help ensure our students travel safely to and from school and activities while allowing the district to maintain and improve the facilities and equipment that support learning every day.
