Linda Palmbaum began playing piano by ear at the age of 3. She took lessons throughout her childhood and at age 14 began seriously studying classical music. She won various contests and awards, including playing with the Albany Symphony and a piano scholarship to Boston University School of Music. Linda continued her piano studies in the Masters Program at Stony Brook, receiving a B.A. She

ran her own piano studio while raising her children and also was the accompanist for the Shoreham Wading River Community Chorus under the direction of Dan Grable for 10 years. Linda brought many stidents from kindergarten to college level piano . She recently retired from public school education where she taught elementary music and chorus, including NYSSMA & SCMEA prep for piano and voice. She also taught voice & piano at Family Melody Music Center and Music & Arts in Stony Brook. She is proud to host many student recitals in her studio, and also travels to students’ homes for lessons there as well. She also began teaching virtual piano lessons this past year due to Covid 19 which has been very successful . Linda's Piano Studio is proud to continue bringing the joy of music to children , teens and adults of all ages and levels. You are never too old to learn piano!
