Can we take a minute to brag on some of the people who make CCES such a special place?! 🧡💙🐾

Our AMAZING PTO completely redid our teachers’ lounge and created such a beautiful, welcoming space for our staff! They organized everything, made it feel bright and inviting, and stocked it FULL of drinks, snacks, and goodies for our teachers and staff to enjoy. 🥤🍫🍿

Our staff pours so much into our students every single day, and I love that they now have a pretty, organized, and comfortable place to sit down, eat lunch, take a break, and enjoy a few quiet minutes during their busy day.

And our Sunshine Committee is already doing what they do best... spreading a little extra sunshine! ☀️🧁 On Friday, we celebrated our staff members with July and August birthdays, and our Sunshine Committee provided cupcakes and put up the sweetest sign in our newly redone lounge to help us celebrate our summer birthday crew! 🎉🎂

We are so thankful for the people who go the extra mile to make our teachers and staff feel appreciated, celebrated, and loved. From our wonderful PTO to our Sunshine Committee, there are so many people pouring into the people who pour into our kids every day.

We are so blessed at CCES! 🧡💙🐾

Our staff has been truly BLESSED over the last couple of days by so many different groups and people in our community! 💙 We are incredibly thankful for the way our community continues to show up for Calvert City Elementary!

✅ Yesterday, we celebrated with a ribbon cutting for our newly renovated teachers’ lounge, completely redone by our amazing PTO! It is absolutely beautiful, and our staff is so appreciative. Before & after pictures coming soon! 👀

✅ Today, our staff was treated to a delicious BBQ lunch provided by Larry Whitt! It was the perfect break before the second half of our day of training, and we are so thankful for his generosity!

✅ This afternoon, members of our community joined us for a Prayer Walk, praying over our school, staff, and students as we prepare for a wonderful year ahead.

✅ Altona Baptist Church Youth Group volunteered to help with landscaping around our school prior to Open House. We are so grateful for their hard work in helping our campus look its best!

✅ Our local churches came together to provide food for our families and staff during Open House last night. What a wonderful way to welcome everyone back to CCES!

✅ Our Open House was a HUGE success! Along with welcoming our families back into the building, our gym was filled with tables from community organizations and partners who provide resources, opportunities, and support for our students and families throughout the year.

We could not be more thankful for the village that surrounds Calvert City Elementary. 💙🧡 Our students and staff are so fortunate to be part of a community that truly loves and supports its school.

Tomorrow, we welcome our students back for the FIRST DAY… and we are ready! 🐾📚✏️
