💦🎉 Calvert City Back to School Splash was SO much fun! 🎉💦

How neat is it that our community comes together to celebrate our students as they head back to school?! ❤️ We had such a great time being part of this fun event!

🔎 We had a school supply scavenger hunt around Memorial Park for school-agers.

🎨 Our preschool friends got some fun items to help them prepare for Kindergarten and practice important skills through play at home.

We love seeing our community come together to support our kids and families as we begin another successful school year! 📚✏️🍎

Are you interested in a career in education, social work, or working with children? Or maybe you’re considering going back to college or are currently taking online courses and would love a meaningful opportunity that allows you to work during the school day!

We have TWO AmeriCorps Literacy Tutor positions available:

📍 Calvert City Elementary
📍 Sharpe Elementary

As a FRYSC AmeriCorps Literacy Tutor, you’ll work directly in a school helping students build important reading skills while also supporting the work of the Family Resource & Youth Services Center. ❤️📖

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in a school setting!

✨ Program Highlights:
• Must be 18 years or older
• 40 hours per week / 1,200 service hours
• Background check required
• Living allowance
• Education award
• Student loan forbearance
• Health insurance
• Valuable experience working with students and school staff

A big THANK YOU to Edward Jones-Jon King, his staff, and clients for the huge supply of snack pack items! They especially came in handy today as we were able to send some extra snacks home with kids in preparation for the snow! We had some awesome FBLA students help with packing the snacks!!🧡💙
