We were honored to learn from Beatrix, Dee, and Roger during our recent 'Stead Talk' about the The Jericho School for Children with Autism, Jacksonville, Florida, a cornerstone for specialized autism education since 1995 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Sophie's primary job is as a livestock guardian dog. She keeps our goats safe overnight from predators like coyotes, however she likes her PT gig way more.
As part of her "Polar Bear Express" route, Sophie brings joy to school assemblies & families as well as senior care, memory care, & assisted living facilities.
She is happiest on route days because not everyone has met a working dog, let alone a polar bear impersonator. Sophie is extremely calm and loves humans even more than her goats-maybe because of the affection and rubs they give her.
Our Critters-On-Call offerings definitely skew towards petting zoos with goats, bunnies, and chickens. That said, playdates with this Great Pyrenees sweetheart help us bring a lot of joy to the community and Sophie is undoubtedly an instrumental part of both our farm and business.

We were thrilled to welcome MJ from the Murray Hill Farmers Market to our homestead this past weekend. It was wonderful introducing her to our petting zoo superstars and capturing some joyful moments with the goats, while learning more about her and the awesome market she runs.

MJ’s dedication has helped the market grow from a handful of vendors to over 25 over the last two years. She has leaned on her background in nutrition and a successful partnership with her co-founder, Nadia, to execute on her commitment to a sustainable, locally-focused food system. Her hands-on approach ensures that all vendors align with the market’s core values of sustainability and food sovereignty, making it a curated hub of quality and community.

One community of learners that we find ourselves working with the most are homeschoolers and homeschooling groups. Below are some of the ways we've been able to work with these educational groups.
