🍎✏️ Welcome Back, Pintos! ❤️

The wait is almost over—we can't wait to welcome our Pintos back for the first day of school on Monday, August 24! 🎉

A new school year means new opportunities, new friendships, and new memories. We are excited to see our hallways filled with smiling faces and can't wait to kick off an amazing 2026–2027 school year together!

A few reminders:
📚 Get a good night's sleep.
⏰ Plan to arrive on time and ready to learn.
😊 Bring your Pinto pride and a positive attitude!

High School Pro Tips: A Few Day 1 Updates! 🎉
Pintos, we’re making a few tweaks this year to help keep our school day running smoothly!

Here’s what you need to know starting Day 1:

📍 Check In
Front Office First!
Before 7:30am? Check in with Mrs. Helming in the office FIRST before heading back to classrooms for homework help or meetings

During the Day? Check in with Mrs. Helming at the office to....
Sign-in when coming back or late
Sign-out before leaving CHS Campus
Even if you are going to or leaving the Weight Room or Ag Building, you must sign-in or sign-out with Mrs. Helming at the front office. We care about you & need to know when you arrive and leave CHS Campus.

📱 Phones & Personal Devices
Personal devices need to be OFF and PUT AWAY from the beginning to the end of the school day.
Exception: Students who need a device for something like a Dual Credit online class may use it for that purpose, then it goes right back away.

🍎 Food & Drinks
No outside food or drinks during the school day.
✅ Water bottles — YES!
✅ Lunch bags/boxes — YES!
✅ Before 7:30 AM in the commons — YES!

Have practice or an activity after school and need dinner? Plan ahead! Parents may drop off food/drinks for students between 1:00–2:30 PM. Students can pick it up in the office on their way to their activity.

We know there are a few new routines, so please ask questions if you're unsure! We’re excited to get the year rolling and appreciate everyone helping us make these updates work!

Free & Reduced Meal Applications Are Now Open for the 2026–2027 School Year!

Have you completed your meal benefits application yet? We encourage every family to apply—even if you aren't sure you'll qualify. Every application helps support our district and our students.

To apply:
• Log in to your Parent Infinite Campus account.
• Click More on the left-hand menu.
• Select Meal Benefits.
• Click Meal Benefits Application and complete the application.

📚 It's almost time to head back to school!

We love seeing everyone's first-day-of-school photos! Be sure to print the grade-level sign for your student, snap a picture on the first day of school, and share it with us. We can't wait to see all of our Pintos smiling and ready for an amazing year!

We know you think you're too cool for first-day pictures, but trust us—your parents are going to take them anyway! 😄 Go ahead and humor them. Someday you'll be glad you did!

Equipment Is Coming Together! Some of the equipment generously donated by the E.M. Burger Foundation is arriving and coming together for our High School Pintos! We can’t wait to show our students and athletes what’s in store. A HUGE thank you to the E.M. Burger Foundation for your incredible generosity and continued support of our district. We are so grateful for the investment you are making in our students and athletic programs! It’s a great day to be a Pinto! ❤️
