It is with great sadness that we share the news of Janie Walmsley’s passing. We will miss her Janie-isms, her humor, and her Janie magic that could fix anything. She touched the lives of many people in her 35 years at Cal and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with her friends and loved ones.
(PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION:) A memorial service and a celebration of life reception will be held on August 22nd at 12 pm in Steele Hall Main Stage on the campus of Pennsylvania Western University California. Family, friends, colleagues, theatre alumni, and students are invited to gather in Steele Hall Main Stage for the memorial service, fellowship, and reception. To honor Janie's dedication to the university and the arts, the theatre faculty and student theatre organization Alpha Psi Omega are honored to host Janie's final visit to campus and celebrate the many ways she impacted students, colleagues and the performing arts.

Floral tributes may be sent to the Wesleyan Nazarene Church, 310 Pittsburgh Street, West Newton, PA 15089.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Janie's memory may make a donation to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center or Blood Cancer United.
