As a busy mom of 8 and a full-time business owner, I know how easy it is to slip into the "Busy-work Homeschooler. Building-work can seem so time consuming and draining. But it is NOT. It's not the building-work that is time consuming and draining, it's improper planning and teaching that makes providing building-work challenging.
Preparing the student properly, is the difference between a student who knows how to rely on what they already know and except new information without difficulty, and a student who needs you by their side for every other question.
Purposeful planning is where it begins. You have to plan your lessons according to the type of learner you are building in your student.
