Daily update on the NFA registry. No changes.
The National Fi****ms Act itself hasn't been repealed, and suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs haven't been removed from the statutory definition of an NFA firearm. The current ruling simply blocks enforcement of certain provisions against a specific, limited group of plaintiffs and their qualifying members and customers.
We are continuing our established transfer process until we have clear written guidance from ATF and confirmation from our counsel that a different path is lawful and workable. We reached out to all 18 distributors and manufacturers that sell NFA items to us. They confirmed that they are following standard NFA procedure by filing Form 3's for all NFA items. They all advised caution.
The government's standard deadline to appeal is October 5, 2026, and it may separately request a stay while an appeal is pending. Nothing about this ruling should be treated as final or permanent at this stage.
This is not a repeal of the NFA, and it is not a nationwide order. Machine guns and destructive devices are not affected at all, and the ruling does not apply to the general public. It applies specifically to the named plaintiffs and, where the court's order allows it, their qualifying members and customers.
This isn't a case of ignoring the ruling. It's new and it's narrow. Most likely it will be challenged further. Remember the Abrego Garcia saga over the past 2 years? We are not going to ask any customer to be the test case while the ATF, the DOJ and the courts work out what comes next. If a clear and lawful path opens up, we will open the floodgates immediately.
In the meantime, we encourage all clients not to wait. Inventory is good and most suppressor models are readily available. Wait times for Form approval are stable at under 7 days in most cases.
