Calhoun, MO R-8 School District Grades K-8 As a small, rural K-8 district, we work very hard to provide those learning experiences that best prepare our students for their futures.

We strive to give all kids the foundations of learning that will prepare them as they grow and mature every step of the way. We look forward to serving your student and your family in our district and seek your feedback in our efforts to constantly improve. I have to take a moment to thank a group of young men who have been instrumental in getting our summer projects completed and for cleaning, building, moving, repairing, and repainting our campus. Our staff is humbled by their maturity, dedication, strength, and commitment to helping us! Thank you: Owen Pennock, Malakye Muller, Gavin Smith, Davien Dempsey, and Keegan Hartley for helping. Our last three showed up towards the end of the summer but we appreciate their efforts! If you see them thank them. We could not have down as much as we did without them! Apparently they got my phone today and took some fun pictures!

We had a wonderful turnout for open house! It was wonderful seeing everyone and how much the kids have grown! Thank you for your patience as we reassemble the middle school after all our summer projects. School starts Tuesday!

Thursday from 5-6 pm is open house! We are excited to see everyone! Please understand we had several large projects over the summer and one ran way behind schedule so we are working tirelessly to get our school sparkling.

Our fifth grade classroom is now in the middle school building and third grade has moved to the old fifth grade room. There is no class in the downstairs room.

Bring your school supplies and meet your teaching team!

Open House is Thursday, August 20 from 5-6 pm. Please check in at the elementary office. Bring your school supplies!

First day of school is Tuesday, August 25. Doors open at 7:15 AM. Breakfast is from 7:15-7:35 AM.
