Just thinking about a future where I’m retired and missing my babies, They don't tell you that a piece of your heart leaves with them.

You watch them grow, from their first wobbly steps to their first full sentences. You tie their shoes, wipe their tears, and cheer for them when they learn new things , You are their safe place.

Then, one day, they are ready to leave. They move on to the next grade or a new town. Your room feels a little quieter. You miss their silly jokes and warm hugs.

Being a caregiver is more than a job. It's loving a child like they are your own, and then finding the strength to let them go. ❤️
