🎉 History Made in California! 🎉

Today, Calexico Unified School District and SPARKS Expanded Learning proudly made history by officially registering the first 13 student apprentices in California to participate in a Registered Apprenticeship for Expanded Learning.

This groundbreaking milestone creates a career pathway for high school students to gain paid, hands-on experience while developing the leadership, workforce, and professional skills needed to serve the next generation of students. Through this innovative program, apprentices will receive structured training, mentorship, and industry-recognized credentials that prepare them for meaningful careers in education and youth development.

We are incredibly proud of these pioneering students for leading the way and setting a new standard for workforce development in Expanded Learning. Their commitment, passion, and dedication will inspire future cohorts for years to come.
