📣 Workforce Wednesday word of the day📣

ACCOUNTABILITY is taking ownership and being responsible for your decisions and actions.

Moliere says “It is not only what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable”.

When you make a mistake, own it, learn from it and do better next time.

One word. One goal. A whole year of possibilities!

Mrs. Lee’s FACS students at Calera Middle School spent the week thinking about their goals and choosing ONE word to represent what they want to focus on this year. After decorating notecards and reflecting on why they chose their word, students brought their goals to life by creating bracelets they can wear as a daily reminder! 📿✨

A little creativity, a lot of reflection, and a meaningful goal to carry with them all year long! 💙 🦅

Workforce Wednesday | Organizational Skills

Today, Ms. Boyd’s students at OMMS are putting their organizational skills into action! After discussing how organization is an important skill in both the classroom and the workplace, students applied what they learned by organizing and designing kitchen spaces.

Each grade level took on the challenge at a different level—while 6th and 7th graders worked with pre-made kitchen layouts, 8th graders took their skills a step further by designing their kitchens completely from scratch!
