It was a great day!

What a treat to have a wonderful group of young musicians from Calera High School in our building this morning. They attended a jazz improv workshop taught by one of our amazing instructors Chuck King.

After further review a mistake was made in percussion scoring and in fact we did win best in class percussion as well.

So add…
BIC percussion to
Straight 1’s
BIC Color guard
BIC Dance
BIC Band and
Most Outstanding soloist of the day to JP on the contra bass clarinet.

We won 4 of the 5 captions in our class
We had the highest GE score on the day
2nd highest marching only behind Auburn and
3rd highest music only behind Auburn and Spain Park

It was a great day!

Alumni Band will be happening at Pre-game of the Briarwood Game on 10/13. We will have a 5:15 Rehearsal on the Band Practice field. This will be part of the Pink Out and Cancer Awareness festivities. Alumni should dress in either Calera or Pink Out Gear. This will also be "Band Night" with some of our Calera Middle School Band members joining us. It should be a fun night for all.
