The Elementary School is facing critical facility challenges. Another issue involves roof section replacement.

Identified roof sections are beyond their service life and require replacement.

Caledonia Area Public Schools is seeking a teacher-qualified substitute to cover a staff member’s maternity leave.



⏰ Full-time or part-time hours available

💰 Hourly wage: $17.00

📅 Short-term position with the potential to become long-term depending on center needs



Teacher Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Associate’s degree in Childhood Development or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
1,560 hours of experience as an assistant teacher or aide
Minimum of 2 years of child care experience preferred
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Must complete Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification

The Elementary School is facing critical facility challenges. Another issue involves the restrooms.

Existing restrooms have failing plumbing and fixtures and do not meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) accessibility code requirements.

The Elementary School is facing critical facility challenges. One
of those issues is a secure entrance.

The main entrance needs to be redesigned to better regulate
visitor access. The school’s door locking system requires
upgrades to better monitor all access points.

Question 2 of the School Facility Bond Referendum addresses
the need to renovate and expand the Career & Technical
Education (CTE) classroom and labs (“the shop”). These
projects include expanding the woods, small engine, and metal
labs, and renovating the classroom space to better support
hands-on project-based learning. Other improvements will
include updating technology and equipment to meet the course
requirements for high demand positions in the trades.

Question 1 of the School Facility Bond Referendum addresses critical facility needs at both the Elementary and Middle/High Schools.

Some of the projects at Middle/High School will include improved
security, interior finish repair and replacement, an expanded outdoor storage building, and HVAC updates.
