Just a reminder! Planning for next year’s bus routes is underway, and we need your help! All families, whether your student rides the bus or not, must complete the Transportation Form in the PowerSchool Parent Portal by Friday, June 26, 2026.

How to update:
Log in: powerschool.calschools.org
Click Forms in the left menu
Select Transportation Request/Change
Fill out the form and hit Submit

Important:
Need alternate pickup/drop-off? Include the address & contact info.
Requests submitted after the deadline may take 5–7 days to process and might not be ready on Day 1.

You can update the form anytime during the school year.

Today, the entire DLMS community celebrated an outstanding school year! 🎉

Our 8th graders gathered for a class photo before joining the school-wide assembly, which highlighted a year of excellence in academics, citizenship, and athletics. Students and staff enjoyed a special Year in Review video that captured many of the memorable moments from throughout the year.

During the assembly, two outstanding 8th grade students, Chloe Krentz and Mason Velting, were honored with the Nixon Award, recognizing their positive influence, character, and commitment to our school community.

Even a little rain couldn't stop the 8th graders take their last walk through the halls of DLMS. We are proud of all they have accomplished and wish them the very best as they begin their next chapter!

Mr. Rivers’ science students wrapped up the school year with their volcano projects today! 🌋 They did an amazing job showcasing their creativity, hard work, and scientific thinking. What a fun way to end the year!

Last week, we were honored to present a check for $12,697 to the Van Andel Institute!

This incredible total was made possible by the amazing fundraising efforts from our Duncan Lake Dodges Cancer event and the Sowerby Gala. 🤾‍♂️✨

A massive THANK YOU to our wonderful Caledonia community, our supportive Duncan Lake families, and our generous sponsors. We are so proud of our long-standing partnership with VAI and deeply grateful for everyone who helped hit cancer where it hurts! This is a long standing tradition and partnership we have with VAI and are thankful.

DLMS students had the chance to submit a design for a schoolwide bookmark contest last month! Staff and students voted on their favorites and the winning designs were printed for the library. Congratulations to Jocelyn VandenBosch (7th grade) and Sophia Shippy-Barrix (8th grade) for submitting the winning designs! 📚

Medication reminder ‼️

The end of the school year is quickly approaching!

Caledonia Community Schools is unable to store medications over the summer, including emergency medications, prescription medications, inhalers, Epi-pens, and over-the-counter medications.

Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication(s) on or before the last day of school. If you are unable to pick up medications by the last day of school, please contact your child’s school to make special arrangements for pickup.

Any medications not picked up by Friday, June 12, will be properly disposed of.
