Teams 2997 Schrute Bots and 13003 Electromanders and The Otterbots had a wonderful, energy-filled day today engaged in game analysis, brainstorming, and rapid prototyping for the 2019 FTC Robotics SkyStone game at kickoff! Big thanks goes to the Idaho STEM Action Center for their gracious gift of game pieces for teams to take home for use in further prototyping. You all rock!

Our FLL-veterans-turned-mentors had a blast helping run FLL camp this week. They learned alongside their mentees about problems and opportunities facing cities. And now they are in the home stretch awaiting the release of their FTC Robotics game... Summer, we hardly knew you.

FIRST stands together and mourns together. I am not surprised that a FIRST kid would show such courage and resolve in the face of darkness.
On Tuesday, the FIRST community lost one of its own. We are heartbroken by the death of Kendrick Castillo, a victim of the STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting in Littleton, Colorado. Kendrick was a member of FIRST Robotics Competition Team 4418, STEM IMPULSE, of which his father is Lead Mentor. Our hearts go out to Kendrick’s family and friends, and to all affected by the shooting. FIRST stands with Team 4418 and the entire Littleton community during this incredibly difficult time.
I think we will see more and more of this.
