Rescueclimber.com is moving its headquarters to Boise Idaho. The trip west started quite literally on the East coast where we helped teach an EMT class. We plan to post some updates here about the trip and future plans for finishing the online Climbing Rescue and Emergency Medical Care course.
I (Todd) like to think I have developed a certain set of skills in the areas of climbing rescue and emergency medical care. Maybe not. Instead I learn that I cant even recognize life threatening conditions in my own friends. Please, I beg of you. I hate losing friends. I am here for you. There are solutions. I promise. Please seek them. We are here to help.
A section about who climbers are and why they climb has been added to the Climbing Rescue and Emergency Medical Care course. See Chapter 3-Climbing Systems: People, Equipment and Terrain.
Rescueclimber.com is being redesigned as an online learning platform for a course called Climbing Rescue and Emergency Medical Care. It will combine the key components of climbing safety, rescue and treatment of life threatening emergencies. Watch for progress updates!
