Here are some photos of what we have been up to these past couple of weeks 😁 We started school, and we have been learning "All About Me", which includes learning about ourselves, emotions, germs, brushing & flossing, and families.. Lastly, we would like to welcome our new student Willow to our Sunshine family 💜 We hope everyone enjoys a beautiful, restful weekend.

Late Post! Here are some pictures from the last two weeks of our Summer program 😀 We had such a BLAST with our students this summer- we are some lucky teachers to be so blessed with such amazing kiddos. We will miss our weekly splash days and field trips, but now we can start planning for next summer and begin an exciting school year!😉🌞

This week was Denmark and Viking week 🇩🇰🌷 We had fun learning about the Aurora Borealis, and exploring magnetism 🧲 we really loved playing with the magnets!! We made a really cool water color painting of the northern lights, and got to decorate our own Viking sheilds ⚔🛡 This week's culinary dish is a Denmark favorite called Forloren Hare (meatloaf) and Brunede Karyofler (potatoes). This was a rich, yummy dish that the kids really enjoyed! Very similar to traditional meatloaf and potatoes- but more sweet! The field trip this week was to Folsom Zoo Sanctuary, and the park. All the animals were out this morning, and we got good views of most of the animals. Thank you CASH for the yummy treats too 😋 Here's some pics of our week ❤

This week, we learned about Cuba and Space 🇨🇺🌴👨‍🚀🚀🌕 We foil painted a moon, and created our own constellations with star stickers! 🌟 We loved dancing to Cuban music, then practiced listening to hear what instruments we would hear- a lot of drums, guitars, and maracas! Splash day was as fun as ever!! 💦🌞 For cooking day, Mrs. Kim prepared for us a Cuban dish, Arroz con Pollo with fried plantains 😋 This is a new favorite dish! This week's field trip was to Freedom Park at McClellan.

We explored Sea Quest for our field trip!! This was such a fun expierence. Everything was so new and exciting to see!

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer- we sure are! This week was Egypt Week and Community Helpers Week 🇪🇬🐪👨‍🌾👨‍🚒👩‍✈️👷‍♂️ we had fun making our Egyptian flag, and we were very careful to stay in the lines. We learned about pyramids, the Nile, and the Spynix. We talked about what a community is, and we learned about those who help make our community safe and a nice place to live. We got to play in kinetic sand with construction trucks! Yay! We really enjoyed this activity... A LOT! 😁 For country culinary day, we tried an Egyptian dish called Kashari, with Salata Baladi (cucumber salad) as the side. The students really enjoyed helping make Egyptian hummus- although, they weren't a fan 😜
