This page is now for Trinity Academy Alumni to connect and remember. Faith, knowledge and service. As the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) asserts: “These are integral components of a Catholic education and the measure by which any Catholic school can be judged.”
Since its institution in September 1991, supported by three parishes – St. Aloysius in Caldwell, Notre Dame in North Ca
ldwell and Blessed Sacrament in Roseland – the school’s mission has provided academic excellence in the Catholic tradition. This, of course, was rooted in a long history of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Newark at three parish schools who united their communities at the Caldwell site. When choosing a Catholic school, parents can expect the school to partner with the parents, who are the child’s primary educators, providing a faith-filled environment where the child grows spiritually and emotionally. During that development process, the students will be taught the Gospel message through words and actions by teachers who are certified catechists, living their faith daily. As for the school’s academic assessment, our teachers are New Jersey certified professionals highly qualified through experience, many with advanced degrees. These dedicated educators are supervised by the Archdiocesan Catholic Education Services (ACES) and guided by the Common Core Curriculum standards. Updating all areas of education with current research, and addressing learning styles with age appropriate techniques provide an elementary education that prepares the students for high school and beyond. While pursuing educational goals and objectives, the students learn to love learning and seek to share their enthusiasm and curiosity with others. They explore ways to enjoy interacting with one another fostering an awareness of caring and concern. That spirit inspires service to the local and larger world community. Through this openness and awakening, self-esteem and leadership traits evolve. Strategic plans have been developed presenting a vision towards the future. In so doing, evidence of an active partnership exists at Trinity Academy. Included in this partnership are the pastors, principal, teachers, parents, students, and community members of the West Essex area who are involved in securing the opportunity for an excellent Catholic education in their community. Trinity Academy affords parents a choice that underscores the importance of a valuable Catholic educational experience in a community of Faith, Knowledge and Service. Thank you for considering Trinity Academy for your student’s education. God bless you and your children.
