Dear Vallivue Community,
A Ridgevue staff member, Mark Haggard, is experiencing a hardship while his wife battles a life-threatening illness. This has caused a serious financial hardship for their family and they are at risk of losing their home. Another RHS staff member has set up a GiveSendGo page for them.
Mark is trying to gather enough funds to defer foreclosure on their home for 60 days so they have time to sell it and start fresh. Please check out his page and read his story. He intends for this to be a loan but needs a more help to get there!
Please consider supporting Mark's family and sharing this with others!

🦋 How One IEA Member Turned a Middle School Hallway Into a Lesson About Humanity 🦋
Every year, Raul Pedraza's eighth grade social studies students create original artwork and memorials honoring the victims of the Holocaust. Butterflies have become a central symbol in Vallivue Middle School’s annual exhibit, inspired by a poem by Pavel Friedman, a young prisoner imprisoned in the Terezín ghetto.

Through collaboration, reflection, and leadership development, participants gain tools and support to create meaningful change for students and families.
We are especially proud to see members from our local continuing this work as graduates, facilitators, and trainers supporting the next generation of Leaders for Just Schools cohorts.

Idaho is pro-public education.
Through May Matters, IEA members helped make public education one of the defining issues of yesterday's election. Our voices carried into communities, onto doorsteps, through phone calls, at town halls, and all the way to the ballot box.
And the results reflected that effort.
This election was bigger than any single race. It was about amplifying educator voices and reminding our legislature that strong public schools matter in all communities and in every corner of this state.
