Our January student spotlight: Juliane T🤩🎸🎶

Juliane has been studying at TMMA since 2024. She started out studying piano with Ms. Sabina, switched to guitar with Mr. Rodrigo in early 2025, and started voice lessons with Ms. Alison this month. You can experience her on vocals and guitar in TMMA's only all-girl pop/rock band Burnerphone!!!🎤📱

In her spare time, you will find Juliane writing a novel or an original pop song, recording her songs, practicing for upcoming performances, and listening to music from her favorite artists like Conan Gray, Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish.

Her goal is to work professionally as a singer/songwriter. Keep up the great work, Juliane!!!👍

🥁Our Student Spotlight for the Month of November is on Olivia M. 🥁
Olivia got her first taste for playing the drums when visiting the GRAMMY Museum Experience in 2023 and has been practicing for 2 years at TMMA with Mr. Anthony.

Last year she formed the rock band MADS at TMMA, alongside her friends Marcos, Avery & Evan (the band is an acronym of their surnames!). They have played several shows at venues like Just Jake's, Ringside Pub, and Grover Cleveland Park.

Olivia's favorite artist is Ed Sheeran (she has seen him live 3 times already!). She loves all kinds of pop and rock music; her eclectic music tastes range from Green Day to Olivia Rodrigo to the K-pop Demon Hunter soundtrack! When not playing the drums, she is busy with her competitive cheer team, top-ranked soccer team and playing percussion in the band at HBW Middle School in Verona as well as her 5th grade chorus.

Olivia is excited and can't wait to play more shows with MADS!

🎤 The Modern Music Academy's Student Spotlight shines on Daisy 🎤

"Hi! My name is Daisy Taylor; I'm turning 18 this March, and I have been attending TMMA for almost 2 years now. During my time here, I learned how to produce with Matt and now I'm continuing my production education with Tyler. Since 2024, I've also joined 2BD, a TMMA rock band, which is very exciting.

Some of my favorite artists are The Neighbourhood, Searows, and Slowdive. I'm mostly into indie pop and grunge genres. In the future, I hope to perform more often, and with my own original songs!

Recently I received my acceptance to Berklee School of Music in Boston, where I am planning to attend in the fall this year. There, I want to continue my production, meet other people with the same music goals as me, and just have fun!"
