If you have not already started your spring vegetable seeds indoors, now is the time. You can start tomatoes and peppers now to have planting ready plants by early to mid March. Seeds started indoors need warmth and lots of light once sprouted. Heat mats under your seed trays provide heat and once sprouted, light is essential. I use 2 shop lights totaling 10,000 lumen on each shelf of plants I grow. This has worked for me for several years. In about two weeks you can plant starts for squash, cucumbers, eggplant, lettuce and annual or perennial flowers. Peppers take longer to get to the planting stage, so they should be ready to plant at about the same time as your squash, cukes, etc. Happy Gardening🌻

I've had several people ask me about this black sooty bark on their crape myrtles. At first I thought it was fungus, but after looking into it further, the root cause of the mold is insects. I wish there was an easy fix, but there is hope! Keep reading to find out more...
