Today's Senior Spotlight is Megan Osterhout!
Meg is from Boise, ID and is majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies for Elementary Precertification with minors in Spanish and Human Performance.
On campus, Meg's involvement is so extensive we can barely list everything here! In Kappa Alpha Theta, Meg has served as CEO, Chief Learning Officer, and Facilities Director, as well as served on numerous committees. Meg is currently the Senior Lead Ambassador for admissions, and spent her sophomore and junior year as Associate Lead. In ASCI Senate, Meg represented her off-campus constituency and served on the Community Relations Committee and Housing Committee. She is also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, lead student researcher on the Literacy Learning Tutoring Project, and a cheerleader (until she had to retire due to injury).
Meg's proudest accomplishment is receiving the Thomas E. Shearer Award, which is awarded to five seniors "who have demonstrated extraordinary service to the ASCI and The College of Idaho Community." She loves this accomplishment because it encompasses so much of her involvement over the past four years.
After graduation, Meg will be pursuing her Master of Arts in Teaching Degree at The College of Idaho, and she couldn't be more excited!
Meg, we are thankful for your commitment to the college and so excited for you to receive your MAT! You will be an amazing teacher, and we are rooting for your future.

Today's Senior Spotlight is Viola Nhapi!
Viola is from ZImbabwe and is majoring in Psychology with minors in Human Biology, Human Services, and Religious Studies.
On campus, Viola is the President of Psychology Club and a member of the International Students Organization, Veteran's Club, Campus Ministries, Psi Chi Honor Society, and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. Additionally, Viola is a research assistant in Psychology!
Viola's proudest accomplishment at the College of Idaho has been maintaining an excellent GPA despite frequent illness. Additionally, she is proud of the tremendous progress she has made emotionally, academically, and socially during her time at the College of Idaho.
After graduation, Viola plans to apply for graduate programs in Neuropsychology, focusing on pursuing a career in research.
Viola, you are a beautiful example of what dedication and hard work can accomplish! We are so thankful for your friendship over the last four years and we are excited to watch your career blossom. Good luck with graduate school applications!

Today's Senior Spotlight is Marine Vieille!
Marine is from Gerland, France, and is majoring in Environmental Studies with a focus on Conservation Biology. Her minors are International Development, Pre-Law, and Biology.
Marine's outstanding involvement at The College of Idaho includes membership in Kappa Alpha Theta (where she served as Chief Learning Officer) and serving as Chairperson of the College of Idaho Judicial Board and Student Manager of the Academic Support Center. She is also a Student Ambassador and a member of Catholic Yotes and Campus Ministries. When she's not leading on campus, Marine's favorite pasttime is puppysitting Boone!
Marine's proudest accomplishment at the College of Idaho is putting together the Wellness Pre-Orientation Program with the help for the Learning Supports and Disabilities Services Office and the Health Center. Through this event, she encouraged freshmen to practice self-care, helping them succeed in college!
After graduation, Marine will be attending the University of Texas at Houston to pursue a Master's of Public Health in Health Education and Health Promotion. "Wherever life takes me next, it's God's plan over mine."
Marine, you are an empathetic and dedicated friend, and we're so fortunate to have you as a Yote! We know that no matter where you go, you will make a positive impact on your community. We can't wait to see where your future takes you!

Today's Senior Spotlight is Jessica Meyer!
Jessica is from Boise, ID and is double-majoring in Human Performance and Mathematics with minors in Philosophy, Psychology, and Pre-Medical Studies.
On campus, Jess has been a leader in her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. Additionally, she worked as a trainer for The College of Idaho Athletics from Fall of 2016 to Summer of 2019!
Jessica's proudest accomplishment in college was learning that asking for help doesn't have to be a hit to self-confidence or pride.
After graduation, Jessica will be taking a gap year to work as a phlebotomist and apply to medical schools, with plans to attend medical school in Fall of 2021.
Jessica, we are so proud of all your accomplishments and the woman you have become! You are an amazing example for younger students on campus and will be an asset to the medical community. Good luck with applications!

Today's Senior Spotlight is Matt McLaughlin!
Matt is from Meridian, ID, and is double-majoring in Art & Design and Marketing & Digital Media, with minors in Human Biology and Cultural & Community Psychology.
In addition to his academics, Matt is the President of Art Society and Treasurer of the Gender-Sexuality Campus Alliance. He is also a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Young Boise Artists!
When asked what his proudest accomplishment was, Matt wrote, "I have been able to do so many amazing things at the College of Idaho beyond my wildest dreams. I got to win the 2018 Idaho Entrepreneurial Challenge, revive the College's Art Society, race at Track Nationals, and so many other things. However, I am the most proud of the relationships I got to make with my friends and faculty that have pushed me to be the best version of myself. "
After graduation, Matt will be moving to Boise and beginning his career in graphic design, with the goal of becoming creative director of an advertising firm.
You'll have one more chance to see Matt this fall as he presents his Solo Exhibition, "Help Me, I'm Dying!" in Rosenthal Gallery.
Matt, you are an incredible artist and we know that you will have an amazing career in design. We look forward to seeing your exhibition this fall!

IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN TO GRADUATION! We will be highlighting one senior every day of the week leading up to commencement on May 23rd. The commencement will be streamed on Facebook Live for anyone who wants to join us in celebrating the Class of 2020!
We also want to give a special shoutout to all of our seniors who have served on the Virtual Commencement Team! Thank you to Hannah DalSoglio, Aurora Cossairt, Ashlyn Pistey, Kennedy Alvaro, Lindy Westendorf, and Shawn Zhang for making sure that your fellow seniors have the opportunity to celebrate commencement in the midst of social distancing. Today's Senior Spotlight is Natalie Little!
Natalie is an Idaho native majoring in Biomedical Sciences with minors in Spanish, Health Professions Studies, and Psychology.
On campus, Natalie is a member of the Women's Tennis Team, as well as a member of Campus Ministries!
When asked what her proudest accomplishment at the college has been, Natalie said, "Becoming the person I am today and making irreplaceable relationships and memories while working hard to achieve my goals."
After graduation, Natalie will be taking a gap year to work and apply to dental school. Her ultimate goal is to become an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
Natalie, you are an empathetic and hardworking woman, and we are so lucky to have you as a friend! Good luck on dental school applications -- we know you will be a phenomenal surgeon!

Today's Senior Spotlight is Kabre Madrigal!
Kabre is from Paul, ID and is majoring in Exercise Physiology with minors in Pre-Physical Therapy, Religious Studies, and Psychology.
In her "free time," Kabre is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the College of Idaho Track & Field Team, and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. She is also an Applied Exercise Physiology researcher, a teaching assistant, and a tutor for the Academic Support Center! When she's not studying or teaching others, you can find her volunteering at the Humane Society.
Kabre's proudest accomplishment is simply how much she's grown as a person during her time at The College of Idaho. "Whether celebrating a success or learning from a failure, I have a different perspective now. I found the space at C of I to grow, to be challenged, and to shape myself into a person I am proud of."
This fall, Kabre will be pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Idaho State University.
Kabre, we are so thankful for your contributions to the student body and proud to have you as a Yote. You are going to be an incredible DPT!

Today's Senior Spotlight is Michael Piazzini!
Michael is a Psychology major with minors in Philosophy, Pre-Law, and Human Biology.
Outside of his academics, Michael is the President of Psi Chi Honor Society and an academic tutor in psychology, biology, philosophy, and writing. He is the captain of the Men's Golf Team and is also an undergraduate research coordinator!
Michael's proudest accomplishment at the college is being accepted for publication in one of the research projects he was part of. "Contributing to a final manuscript is one of the best accomplishments an undergraduate can ask for, and I am honored to be a part of that team!"
After graduation, Michael will be working as a golf professional at TimberStone Golf Course. Next fall, he will be applying to PhD programs in experimental psychology, where he hopes to become a professor and continue his research in educational psychology. His primary goal is to assist those who struggle in academia, and mentor students wishing to maximize their potential as students and future educators.
Michael, thank you for all of your contributions to the academic community at the College of Idaho! We are so excited to see your education continue and we know you will be an excellent professor.
