You would not believe the snacks that I've had students bring into class! Anything from ingredients to make a s'more to gourmet sandwiches (yes for snack) to beautifully sliced veggies with dip. The options are endless.
Here are a few go to's that I liked to (and still do) keep on hand. As a teacher, I'd always have those cute little oranges and a string cheese for kids who forgot their breakfast or snack that day.
I had parents bring in bags of cereal for me to keep in the classroom for when kids forgot their snacks. And really no one ever complained that their snack was too healthy. They just ate what I gave them.
At River's Edge Academy we strive to encourage healthy snack choices. Kids do so much better when they are fueled with a good snack.

What better way to celebrate the youth than to point them to the Word of God. In there, they can find out who created them, who loves them their identity and their purpose.
If you have a young person in your life, nothing is more beneficial than their relationship with Jesus.

Who knew there is a National Shop Online for Groceries Day? Not I, but when I finally took the leap of buying my groceries online, I was working full time with teenagers in the home. It was a great thing to be able sit in the privacy of my own home, stare at the pantry and make my shopping list. The best part is that often times, someone else picked them up and brought them home.
This way of shopping really made me more intentional about what I bought, because I created a menu while shopping, I could ask for input from the real eaters in the home and I was not lost down the cereal isle.
As your headed into the school year, you may want to give this a try. While you're picking up those groceries, stop by and check us out at River's Edge Academy.

The love of books starts early. We can never read to our children too young, too often or too old.
