My first completely film couples session is in the books and, to no one's surprise, I'm hooked.

We met up at sunrise at one of A+J's favorite places and I think their film session turned out so sentimental, nostalgic and fun (all of my favorite things)!

To date this has to be my favorite Colorado gallery and it went to it's home last night!

This September was my third year in a row heading to Colorado for couples sessions and second year getting to meet up with Bri and Tyler. This time for their engagement session, I got to show them around a few locations in the lower elevation foothills of San Jaun Mountains where our family camps every fall.

We spent an afternoon exploring a few off road locations I scouted out last year and it was so much fun not only getting to catch back up with them, but also getting to experience such a full circle moment seeing spots I had scouted out as a "this would be a cool place for an elopement or session" actually be enjoyed by my couple.

When we got to the reservoir an afternoon mountain storm had moved in and blown nearby wildfire into the valley but when the storm cleared we were treated to a gorgeous smokey view of the mountains and sunset that added to the uniqueness of our time together in Colorado.

A little scrapbook photo dump of some moments around camp in Colorado! Plus a few behind the scenes from B+T's engagement session while we were in the mountains.

This super fast trip to Colorado was good for the soul and for my creativity. My engagement session while we were there reminded me of how much I love documenting love stories in these epic places and reignited my desire to photograph more mountain sessions and elopements, I can't wait to share more!
