The LVUSD Board of Education voted to place Measure LV on the November 3, 2026 ballot, which would renew local parcel tax funding that is set to expire. The proposed measure would extend the current $98 parcel tax first approved by voters in 2004 without increasing tax rates. Without this measure, local schools stand to lose $2M in annual funding that supports teaching and academic programs.

Since 2004, LVUSD has benefited from local school parcel tax funding approved by voters that supplements unstable and inadequate funding from the State that only supports a basic education. Locally controlled parcel tax funding allows LVUSD to attract and retain qualified and experienced teachers, maintain class sizes, and support advanced academic programs in subjects like math, science, technology, and engineering. Unless renewed by voters, this funding is set to expire.

Join us for our E-Waste Recycling Event on Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at A.E. Wright Middle School.

We'll accept computers, laptops, phones, tablets, TVs, monitors, printers, scanners, cables, and accessories. (Please no batteries, light bulbs, or household hazardous waste.)

Help us keep electronics out of landfills and make a positive impact in our community!
