Good evening everyone,

Just a follow up on the potential project for putting in a program to help with supplying teachers in Ritchie County. After weeks of trying to get someone to listen to my idea in Charleston I have finally got a break through. I had a phone conference today and got to pitch my idea. We made great progress to the point it is being researched and lawyers looking at. There will be more to come as the progress is made. If this goes through it will be great for Ritchie County. Election Day is coming your vote will be appreciated. I would really like to see this through as a Board Member.

Good after everyone,
It is getting close to vote time. We have a long journey ahead of us. We are going to have to roll up our sleeves and get to work if we are going to get things done. We have to have teacher retention and student involvement to turn things around. If we don’t put a plan together to keep our teachers and a path for our service personal to become teachers. We are going to be in trouble in the next few years. Our kids are already hurting due to lack of teachers and service personal. We don’t have enough to fill the rolls. I not saying I can fix it but I can sure Raise Hell about it. You have to have someone to ask the hard questions, make the hard decisions and not afraid to stand up for what is right.

Student involvement is very important. I would like to see a group of students grades 9-12 that would represent the students of Ritchie County come and report to the board every meeting. If you what to know what’s going on invite the kids that live it everyday.

Good Evening Ritchie County,

My name is Brian Scot Walton most people know me as Scotty. I am running for the BOE in Ritchie. I am sure there will be questions as to why am I running again. I wouldn’t have stepped out of it wasn’t for reasons that would have pulled me away from my duties and that was the company I am with opened up a plant in Ga. I am running because there are some unfinished projects I would like to see through. There are more to come on them as I get information that I can relay. In the meantime I would like to hear from you and listen to your thoughts on the directions our school system is going and the way you would like to see it go.
