It was so nice to see so many of your smiling faces this morning! I hope your first day of school is off to a wonderful start. 💙

I want to take a moment to congratulate our 2026–2027 retirement class on their “Last First Day of School!” 🎉

Let me be the first to wish you a fantastic year ahead—and congratulations on all of the “last firsts” you’ll experience throughout the year. While the school year is just beginning, we all know how quickly it will go!

Be sure to slow down and ENJOY every “last” you can—the last first day, the last staff meeting, the last school event, and all the little moments in between. These memories are worth savoring.

The 2026 Back to School Festival is still going strong. Food trucks, free supplies, live music and more all at the Cahokia Fitness Center until 2:00 PM this Saturday.
