Last week, we took a trip to St Louis for a wedding. Huge learning moments as we dodged thunderstorms and I put that instrument rating to good use.

Happy anniversary to our girl Alexus! 2 years ago she got her private pilot certificate. Since then she has also obtained her instrument, commercial, and multi engine ratings. She is currently working on becoming a ground instructor and certified flight instructor.

A little for you. Turns out it does snow in Phoenix. Transponder decided to stop working as soon as we cleared class B. Took the scenic route home which included dodging a bunch of airplanes, skirting the mode C veil until approved to enter, and staying below the bravo shelves until we got back to the home airport. Without solid ground school knowledge, lots of things could have gone wrong and we could have gotten reprimanded by ATC, but we knew how to stay safe and stay out of trouble.
