We are excited to invite you to our 2024-2025 family literacy night- LET'S GLOW READ TOGETHER! It will be held on Tuesday, March 25th from 5:00-6:30 pm at the Cadott Elementary School for 4K-6th grade. Stay the whole time or stop in when you can!

Enjoy a free hot dog plate (hot dog, fruit/veggies, chips, cookie, water) for dinner, fun activities in the classrooms, flashlight reading in the library, and more! Door prizes will be given every 20 minutes. Dress in neon or white to glow! What is 3-Cueing?

It is a method of teaching reading that takes the reader away from the written word and encourages guessing.

2023 Wisconsin Act 20 prohibits Wisconsin schools from using 3-cueing for reading instruction and literacy materials for students in grades 5K-3 including intervention.

Phonemic awareness is the ability to recognize the individual sounds within words. It's the first step to learning to read and spell. Without identifying single sounds, a child can't connect sounds to letters for literacy tasks.
