🏈 HARRISON CENTRAL HUSKIES WEEKLY FOOTBALL RECAP 🏈
August 17–23, 2026
Week #1 is in the books! It wasn’t the result our Huskies wanted, but this is a young team with an entire season still ahead of them. Now it’s time to learn from Friday night, get back to work, and prepare to defend Wagner Field at this week’s home opener. 💙🖤

Week #1 Result
Claymont 43 — Harrison Central 0
The Huskies traveled to Uhrichsville Friday for the Battle of Tappan Lake. Claymont took control early, building a 30–0 halftime advantage before finishing with a 43–0 victory.
Harrison Central begins the season 0–1, but one difficult night does not define this team. There are nine regular-season games remaining and plenty of opportunities for these young Huskies to grow together.
Week #2: Home Opener
📅 Friday, August 28
🏈 East Palestine at Harrison Central
📍 Wagner Field, Cadiz
⏰ Kickoff: 7:00 p.m.
🎉 Youth Football & Cheer Night
East Palestine also enters Week #2 with a 0–1 record after falling to Shadyside 49–13 in its opener. Friday gives both teams an opportunity to earn their first victory of 2026.
Let’s fill Wagner Field, welcome our youth players and cheerleaders, and give our Huskies the home-field support they deserve!
Junior-High Season Opener
📅 Thursday, August 27
🏈 Harrison Central at Strasburg
📍 Strasburg
⏰ Kickoff: 5:30 p.m.
The junior-high Huskies officially begin their season on the road Thursday.
Club Reminders:
Cash Bash tickets are now in the players’ hands! Tickets are $20 for the Saturday, October 3 event at the Cadiz Country Club. This is the football program’s largest fundraiser and helps with equipment and other essential team needs.
Anyone who wants a ticket but does not have access to a player may message the Harrison Central Huskies Football FAMILY page.
🚦Friday Locker Room Treat Bag sponsors are still needed. Bags are collected at Thursday’s team meal and placed in the players’ lockers afterward.
🚦We also have 5 spots still open for Post Game Pizza Sponsors..
For more information one either of these please message the Football page or contact Tosha at 740-491-6585.
Win or lose, these boys deserve to look into the stands and see their community standing behind them. One game is behind us, but there is a lot of football left to play.
NEW WEEK. NEW OPPORTUNITY. HOME FIELD.
💙🖤 LET’S GO, HUSKIES! 🖤💙
