🦃 Thanksgiving Dinner Assistance 🦃

Are you a low income family struggling to make ends meet each month and need a little help providing Thanksgiving dinner for your household this year?

Feed My Friends is assisting another local agency with gathering names of families who may need Thanksgiving assistance.

If you need help, please send us a PRIVATE MESSAGE with:

Names of everyone living in your home:

Your address:

Your monthly household income:

Your phone number:

Space is LIMITED and assistance will be FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.

This particular Thanksgiving program is being provided by another agency that has asked Feed My Friends to help identify families in need.

And even after their list is full, PLEASE still reach out to us if you need to. We will keep the remaining names and, as Thanksgiving gets closer, we can forward them to other agencies and programs that may have openings.

Our goal is simple:
We don't want anyone in our community going hungry this Thanksgiving.

It has been HOT 🥵 since we started the school year!

🛝 We have done everything possible so that the kids still get outside playground time daily.
* we modified our daily schedule to go outside right after breakfast
* we set up multiple shady areas so the children can still play comfortably ☂️
* we bring out water and cups for water breaks in the shade 💦

But! The weather is not breaking and enough is enough! If you can’t beat-’em, join-’em!! 💦 🩱

Today we decided to have a water sprinkler day in the third week of September! Any other year this has been unheard of.

The kids and teachers had a blast! We all laughed, danced, and had so much!!

You think changing one wet toddler/preschooler out of clothing is difficult… Try doing 16! Phew!!

An awesome first visit today from Ms. Chelsea at Trigg County Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences. She read a book about baking apple pies, showed us different apples and brought us a snack of apples and pretzels with apple butter. DELICIOUS!!!

Did you know there are over 7000 different types of apples? 😮 Me neither!!!!!

🩷 Today was a great 1st Day!!

We started the morning off strong with a gift of fresh flowers picked from the garden from a special friend 🌺 and we ended strong by all of the kiddos saying they had fun and wanted to come back tomorrow! 🎉

I call that a WIN!!! 🏆
