Dear Parents and Guardians,

Cabot School is excited to welcome you back on Wednesday, August 26, 2026! We are looking forward to a wonderful start to the new school year. We hope you had a wonderful summer and are excited for the new school year. We are looking forward to beginning another year of learning, growth, and new experiences together.

Please review the following important arrival, drop-off, and dismissal information:

Morning Arrival
Arrival time: 8:05 – 8:20 a.m.
Students arriving after 8:20 a.m. must check in at the office to receive a late pass.

Drop-Off
Student drop-off will take place in front of the main building.
If you have young students, you may walk them to the bus drop-off location at the top of the rear path.
Parents and guardians are not permitted to enter the cafeteria.
Our back parking lot is closed during school hours. Please do not use this lot for drop-off.

Bus
If you have made changes from the end of last year, please email Jennifer [email protected] right away for a smooth start to the school year.
As usual, please expect delays in our first few weeks as new students get used to their pick-up and drop-off times.

Afternoon Pick-Up
Students who are being picked up at dismissal will be walked to the front of the main building.
Our daily schedule will remain the same: 2:10 p.m. on Wednesdays and 3:00 p.m. the remainder of the week.

Thank you for being so cooperative in helping us ensure a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal process. We are excited to welcome our students and families back to Cabot School!

Independence Day is just around the corner, and we are excitingly preparing the school's float for the upcoming parade! This year, we are throwing it back in time to build a late 1800s one-room schoolhouse, and we need your help to bring this piece of history to life.
If you have some free time, a knack for building, or some unique items gathering dust in your barn, here is how you can get involved:
🛠️ Join the Build Crew
We will be gathering to assemble and decorate the float. No expert carpentry skills required—just a willing pair of hands!
When: Wednesday, July 1st and Thursday, July 2nd
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (noon) both days
🪵 Scavenging for Supplies
To make the schoolhouse look authentic (and safe!), we are looking to borrow or keep the following items:
An old wooden door
A classic chalk blackboard
Old siding or paneling
Split rails (to serve as a rustic safety barrier to keep the kiddos secure on the float)
🧑‍🏫 Float Riders Needed
A schoolhouse isn't complete without the students! We are looking for:
5 to 7 students to ride on the float.
1 volunteer to play the schoolteacher.
📬 Want to help?If you can volunteer your time, lend us any of the supplies listed above, have some carpentry skills/tools to share or if your child would love to ride on the float, please email Jeanne to let us know!
