This past weekend, our JROTC Cadet Leadership team traveled to Camp War Eagle for an exciting couple of days of team building, leadership development, and fun! 🇺🇸

Our cadet leaders participated in a variety of activities, including high and low ropes courses, team-building challenges, laser tag, and plenty of downtime to relax and enjoy the beautiful Northwest Arkansas area.

This trip was a fantastic way to kick off the school year, strengthen teamwork, build leadership skills, and create lasting memories. We are incredibly proud of these outstanding students and look forward to all they will accomplish this year!

🎉 Arkansas Cadet Leadership Course 2026 Complete!

What an incredible week for the Arkansas Cadet Leadership Course (ARCLC) 2026!

On Saturday, June 6, 48 cadets representing 7 high schools from 3 states graduated after completing a week of intensive leadership training at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock.

Throughout the week, cadets developed skills in leadership, followership, citizenship, drill, and physical fitness. They also had the opportunity to visit Little Rock Air Force Base, where they received career field briefings, toured a C-130 aircraft on the flight line, visited the air traffic control tower, and watched a demonstration by the Security Forces K-9 team.

The experience also included a visit to the Arkansas State Capitol, where cadets conducted a wreath-laying ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, toured the Capitol, and received a briefing from Secretary of State Cole Jester.

The course concluded with a Pass and Review Parade and graduation ceremony at Cabot High School, celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of all participants.

🎉 Cadet of the Month 🎉

Please join us in congratulating our final Cadet of the Month for this school year — Cadet Gabriel Sepan!

Cadet Sepan has demonstrated outstanding dedication and commitment to the AFJROTC program through his active participation in Honor Guard, Color Guard, and Unarmed Drill. His discipline, teamwork, and willingness to continually improve make him an excellent example of what it means to be a cadet leader.

Since joining AFJROTC, he has embraced every opportunity to grow, build meaningful connections, and positively contribute to the corps. His humility, perseverance, and strong character have not gone unnoticed.

Huge congratulations to our AFJROTC Cadets of AR-053!

For the FOURTH year in a row, our cadets earned the Distinguished Unit with Merit Award — and this year they aced their inspection with ZERO write-ups! 👏

Even more exciting, our unit earned the Silver Star Community Service with Excellence Award for the FIRST time in at least 7 years!

Out of approximately 835 AFJROTC units worldwide, only 41 units received this honor for Academic Year 2025–2026. This award recognizes the Top 5% of units with the highest per-cadet average of community service hours.

Here’s what our cadets accomplished this year:
⭐ 69 Community Service ONLY events
⭐ 237 Leadership events with community service hours
⭐ 4,826.5 total community service hours
⭐ 109 cadets serving our community
⭐ 44.28 hours per cadet average

This recognition is a true testament to the dedication, leadership, and servant-hearted spirit of our cadets. We could not be more proud of the impact they continue to make in our community and beyond!

What a great start to a Friday!

This morning, our cadets volunteered at the Special Programs Track and Field Day. They proudly provided the Color Guard and joined the SROs in running the flag in for the opening ceremonies.

It was wonderful to see our cadets encouraging and supporting the Special Programs students as they competed, celebrated, and enjoyed an amazing day together.

The day was even more meaningful because we had the opportunity to cheer on one of our very own cadets!

We are incredibly proud of these students and the big hearts they show through their service, leadership, and kindness.

We would like to take a moment to recognize Cadet Dustin Williams for being selected as Cadet of the Month for March. This achievement reflects not only his dedication and growth, but also his perseverance through challenges.

Cadet Williams’ journey speaks volumes about his character. Overcoming difficulties in his early years and making the decision to change his path demonstrates both maturity and determination. Choosing to step away from negative influences and commit himself to the program was not easy, and his willingness to do so is truly admirable.

Since joining, he has shown a clear commitment to self-improvement. His focus on personal growth, discipline, and faith has helped shape him into a strong example for his peers. It is especially meaningful that he has found guidance and purpose, and strives to bring peace and positivity into the lives of others.
Being recognized as Cadet of the Month highlights his consistency and the respect he has earned. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, and he stands as an example who can inspire others to push forward—not only to become better cadets, but better citizens as well.
