🍋 AUDITION INFORMATION! 🍋
Auditions for our competition one act play - The Amazing Lemonade Girl - will be held on September 11th at 4 pm in the blackbox. 🎭 Auditions are open to grades 9-12. 🤩
You can pick up an audition packet from Shep, Blan, or Brown the week of auditions in your theatre class. 🎉
Auditions will consist of cold readings but you will have the material available in advance if you would like to prepare. 🍋

Whether you’re returning after an amazing summer or joining us for the very first time, this is the perfect chance to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and meet or say hi to all of your directors before the school year begins!

🎭 Our 2026 Competition One-Act Play Announcement! 🍋💛

Cabot Theatre is excited to announce our 2026 Arkansas State Thespian Festival competition one-act production:

🍋 The Amazing Lemonade Girl by James DeVita 🍋

This heartfelt children’s theatre production tells the story of Alex, a young girl whose determination, optimism, and courage inspire everyone around her. When faced with an unimaginable challenge, Alex discovers that even the smallest act—like setting up a neighborhood lemonade stand—can make an incredible difference. Through friendship, family, and a community coming together, this uplifting story reminds us that hope, kindness, and perseverance can change the world.

Because this story is inspired by the life and legacy of Alexandra “Alex” Scott, we’re excited to do more than just bring it to the stage. Throughout our production process, Cabot Theatre plans to partner with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, helping raise awareness and support for childhood cancer research.

This production is perfect for audiences of all ages, especially families and children, and we can’t wait to share this meaningful story with our community while representing Cabot Theatre at the Arkansas State Thespian One Act Festival in November.
