Mrs. Elizabeth Copeland (FFCLA Advisor) and Emma Walls (FCCLA State Officer) were recently recognized by Ashley Witte, FCCLA State Adviser for DESE, for their commitment to the Family and Consumer Science organization.
Check out what Mrs. Witte had to say! "July is one of the busiest months for our organization as we prepare for the upcoming school year, and a lot of responsibility falls onto our State Executive Council and their advisers. This summer, Emma Walls and Mrs. Elizabeth Copeland dedicated countless hours to preparing for a successful year of leadership and service as part of the Missouri FCCLA State Executive Council and Advisers team. They participated in leadership training, have been working on planning statewide conferences and events, collaborating with fellow officers and advisers from across Missouri, and developing the skills needed to effectively serve more than 10,000 FCCLA members throughout the state. Additionally, Emma has taken on the massive task of re-igniting the Missouri FCCLA Alumni & Associates program, presenting workshops, creating marketing campaigns, and making plans for successful implementation.
Serving as a Missouri FCCLA state officer is both an honor and a significant responsibility. These student leaders represent not only Missouri FCCLA but also their local schools and communities. Their willingness to invest their time, energy, and talents reflects the leadership, character, and commitment that make them exceptional ambassadors for your school. This work would not be possible without the dedication of our local FCCLA advisers. Mrs. Copeland has devoted personal time throughout the summer to mentor, travel with, and support Emma, ensuring she is prepared to lead with confidence and professionalism."
